A CABE affiliate organization, 2-Way CABE, partnered with Dual Language Education, New Mexico (DLeNM) at the 2015 CABE Annual Conference to sponsor a reception honoring Drs. Virginia Collier and Wayne Thomas. Nearly 100 people gathered to hear their reflections on their careers and the legacy they have built through their research and advocacy.

The audience also had the opportunity to interact with Drs. Collier and Thomas, asking questions and sharing the impact that their research and advocacy has had on audience members personally and professionally as researchers, administrators, teachers, and parents of English Learners.  It was a very special evening, looking back and also toward the future!
