Project 2-Inspire uses a school-based systemic approach to build capacity of schools and districts in establishing a Family-School-Community Leadership Program that involves all stakeholders—families, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
Project 2-Inspire is driven by thirty years of research, reflects the latest studies related to parent engagement, and utilizes research and theory as a basis for meeting the needs of at-risk schools with diverse populations.
Project 2-Inspire parents build relationships with other parents and school staff, communicate with teachers and principals about their child’s academic progress, and are working with other parents and school staff to improve parent engagement and to improve student programs at their child’s school.
Project 2-Inspire has grown exponentially and in the last three years has certified 498 parents at the Mastery Level and 157 parents at the Expert Level.
Project 2-Inspire has great stats! Data collected in Year 3 of the i3 study show evidence of positive changes in parent-teacher and parent-school relationships, as well as positive changes in parent perceptions about their roles in their school communities. Parent Specialists have observed, and parents self-reported, that parents are confident about
their roles as school committee members and leaders at their child’s school, are building relationships with school staff, and are working with others to improve parent engagement. Teacher survey data also confirms that a large percentage of parents at their school are actively engaged and have a positive impact on school improvement.
Project 2-Inspire staff members are the coolest and most inspiring team in town!
